What's New This Week: December 6

I know many of you are counting down the days 'til the big Holiday Party and Coins for Change. Here are a few things happening this week before the party starts:

• Coins for Change announcement:
 Billybob's got some BIG news about Coins for Change to share on the blog tomorrow! You won't want to miss it. :)

• The Ice Rink returns! 
The Stadium transforms into an Ice Rink to kick off the holidays! There will be some new items for figure skating fans there, too...

• Card-Jitsu Mats: 
They're just about ready! Soon members will be able to host Card-Jitsu matches at home with these new igloo items. Sweet!

• Field-Ops: 
The EPF never sleeps, does it? Secret agents, get ready for orders over at the Command Room! Time to earn some more Elite Gear...

Card-Jitsu Party is Here Now!

We've officially launched the first ever Card-Jitsu Party! We're excited to see so many ninjas celebrating...

Have you discovered the big surprise for Fire and Water Ninjas yet? For the first time ever, ninjas can change the weather!! You just need 2 or more ninjas to dance outside. The more ninjas dancing, the more awesome it gets. Check out the action at the Snow Forts:

BAFTA Award Nominee!

Happy77 here. I just heard some exciting news from our team in the UK that I wanted to share with you. 
Club Penguin is up for the Kids Vote at the Children's BAFTA Awards! That's a really huge deal in the UK, and we're honored to be nominated! 
Every year the BAFTA gives kids in the UK the chance to vote for their favorite movie, video game, TV show and website. The Kids Vote is the only award to be voted for by the public, and Club Penguin is one of the lucky few that's been nominated under Websites!
Wish us luck... and keep your flippers crossed! ;)

It's so hard to choose since I like all items! But, my all time favorite would be the Box-Portal! It's totally AWESOME and I hope it'll be back on April 2012! : We're just about finished some fabulous new head items for puffles. We'll have more info about them later this week, too...

Card-Jitsu Update!

Hey Penguins! This is a message from Billybob:

Hello Penguins!

Since we've launched a new ninja game each year, many of you have been wondering when we will launch Card-Jitsu Snow.The team is still working hard on creating a great Snow experience, but unfortunately it's not going to be ready for a while. We don't want to launch it until it's the best it can be. So, we've decided to do something different for ninjas this year, and we think you'll love it. There are some BIG surprises in store...

• We're releasing a huge new Card-Jitsu Party. For the very first time, we're decorating almost the whole island with a ninja look!

• There will be new decorations, new items, new Stamps and new rooms available only at the party!

• For the first time, penguins with free accounts will be able to play Card-Jitsu Fire and Water during the party!! 

• We also have a BIG surprise for those who are able to earn their Fire Suit or Water Suit.

The Fair And Puffle Hats Update!

Hello Penguins!

It's a busy time here at the Club Penguin offices. The team is working day and night to get ready for a HUGE month of new stuff for you. It's very exciting! I wanted to give you a quick heads up about what's coming next week:

Puffle Hats coming early: The team is working hard over the weekend to release hats for puffles as early as this Tuesday! Not only that, but this month's clothing catalog is coming early, too!! 

The Fair ending on Monday: To make way for some of the big stuff that's coming, this year's Fair will be ending tomorrow. So you'll have a bit more time to earn these Stamps:

• Rockhopper: Be in the same room as Rockhopper
• Happy Room: Make 10 penguins smile in a room
• Snack Shack: Serve snacks from a booth, using any food emote
• Target Champion: Hit 50 targets in a task at a party

Igloo party video: Happy77 and the team are going to look for some great igloo parties on Monday to feature in a new video! Make sure your igloo is open so the team can check out your party!

Puffle Launch App On Android!

Thanks to everyone that picked up a copy of Puffle Launch on their iPods, iPhones and iPads... You guys made it a Top 10 app on the App Store!

Back when we announced the mobile version, many of you asked for the game on your Android device. I'm happy to say... Puffle Launch is available on the Android Market TODAY!

Well... If I were to make my own app it will be about like a detective solving games. So there would be like little hidden notes or fingerprints on the screen. You'll also get to design your detective. Also there will be some training for your detective to unlock levels, the training levels are like little mini games.

Beta Team: Test Server Update

Happy77 here. Billybob and I wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped beta test the brand new chat filter upgrades on Beta Team! You guys gave us some awesome feedback, and we loved reading all your comments and suggestions. 

The beta test will be open on Beta Team until 3pm Penguin Standard Time on Friday. After that, you won't see the Test Server in the Beta Team File List. 

We hope to launch the upgrades on Club Penguin in a few weeks. We'll keep you posted with more updates here on the blog... 

Thanks for testing. You guys help make Club Penguin even better! :)

New Test Server On Beta Team!

In our developer's update last week, we mentioned that there would be some new stuff launching on Beta Team. We also said there'd be something a little different to test... We need your help to test out a brand new improvement to the chat system! 
 
We've heard that some of you find it hard to chat with friends because of the filters. You asked if we could make it easier to chat with your buddies online.
 
You asked... and we listened! We've made some big improvements for you:
 
•     Now you'll see suggested words above the chat bar as you write sentences!
•     You can click the words that appear, and the system will automatically complete the word for you. Now you'll be able to chat way quicker than before!
•     Tons more phrases than Ultimate Safe Chat... Over 300,000 phrases!
 
We want your help to test the chat system improvement before we release it on Club Penguin. Let us know what bugs or issues you find by submitting a comment in Beta Team. Remember that it's a test site, so things may not work the same way that you're used to (i.e. games, items, newspaper)
 
You can test the new chat system on Beta Team starting today! Can't wait to hear what you think.
